COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP

CO-CHAIRS: Georgiane Hayhow, Matthew Webb

COMMITTEE: Theresa Garza, Brad Hart, Scott Havens, Janelle Hersperger, Allyson Hile, Jessie McKinney, Kristen O'Connell, Michael Raupp, Jason Webb

MISSION:
The goal of the community leadership committee is to enhance the group’s knowledge of what great leadership entails. This is done through activities like Leadership up Close where we visit with area business/community leaders to learn what has made them successful and where we can apply that in our lives to improve our businesses, but more importantly our community. We also work with community organizations to determine their needs for board opportunities and how Centurions can serve others to fulfill our civic responsibilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the planning and coordination of the “Leadership up Close” meeting
  • Plan the Women’s Leadership Forum
  • Serve as a clearinghouse for community leadership positions – work with Centurions and immediate alumni to place them on community and charitable organization boards
  • Work with Curriculum Committee and Projects Committee to maximize leadership opportune ties and exposure for all Centurions.
  • Design leadership-training opportunities that will enhance Centurions’ leadership skills.
